le marathon de la baie du Mont-Saint-Michel 2008

Une des plus belles épreuves sportives d'endurance en France : le marathon de la Baie du Mont-Saint-Michel.
La 11ème édition se déroulait aujourd'hui sous un climat pluvieux typiquement breton (en étant un peu chauvin du coté normand).
Environ 4.300 coureurs professionnels et amateurs étaient au départ de Cancale (35) à 16h30 pour une course de 42,195 km où la destination finale était la Merveille, le Mont-Saint-Michel que l'on célèbre cette année les 1300 ans de sa fondation.

Les favoris de la course ont été au rendez-vous.
Coté homme, c'est le congolais Patrick Tambwe, recordman de l'épreuve avec une performence de 2h08'55" en 2004, qui a franchi en premier la ligne d'arrivée en 2h16'40".
Chez les femmes, Laurence Klein, championne de France de la discipline, est arrivée la première en parcourant la distance en 2h41'12".
A l'heure où le billet est publié, il est vraisemblable que de nombreux coureurs seront encore sur le chemin montois ...
